Description:
A fairly easy 63kms with optional variations. The loop starts in Dungog and travels along Alison and Pinebrush roads, then through Glen William, Clarence Town, Glen Martin, then back on Pinebrush and Alison roads. It involves about 700m of undulating climbing and includes two crossings of the Williams River.
To start ride North down Dowling Street, across the railway line:
After crossing the Coorei Bridge, which crosses the Williams River, turn right into Alison Rd.
Stay on Alison Rd past Marshdale Rd.
Continue down Alison Rd past Thalaba Church rd and Doug Walters old school!
Turn left into Pinebrush Rd.
continue past Glen Martin Rd.
Turn left into Glen William Rd and follow into Clarence Town for a coffee and cake. When you have finished lazing about head east out of Clarence Town over the Williams River onto Limeburners Creek Rd.
Turn left into Glen Martin Rd
Follow past Black Camp Rd (unless you want add an extra few Kms of unsealed road and a good climb to Flat Tops, by heading back to Dungog via the Pinebrush Loop)
Back at Pinebrush Rd again. Turn right and follow Pinebrush and Alison Rds back to home to Dungog.
